Carter Chris White was born and raised in Baltimore City, and he has certainly endured a challenging upbringing. Growing up with a mother on welfare and an absent father, Chris learned to hustle at an early age. It didn’t help that his mother who practically raised him alone, was also a hustler. For him and many others within his community, selling drugs was a way of life. A way to numb the pain. He often expresses that it often helped him not feel like a loser. While living this life he would often get in fights, and of course in trouble with the law where he would end up at the central police station to await his mother since he was still a juvenile. Chris would experience a life of adversity and it wouldn’t end up well; it would ultimately end him in jail for 19 years. Serving time in prison changed his life in many ways. During that time Chris became closer to God. Being away from the world taught him that God was real. That when you fall there is no one there to catch you but him. Chris strongly believes that during a time like that you get to see who’s really down for you and who truly loves you. During his sentence Chris also learned more about himself, his talents, his gifts. Prison taught him how to take his hustle to the next level. It taught him to keep the same hustle, same drive, same attitude, same ambition, same tenacity and apply it to legal gains. He believes his prayers got him home and now he has a purpose to serve and a message to spread. After serving such a great deal of time in prison, then President Barack Obama signed his clemency motion, and he was finally set free. Once Chris became clear about his gift he knew he had to use it to advance himself and move forward in the right direction while honoring the man he had become. Carrying out this vision has not come without adversity even after his release. Some people are intimidated by his passion to tell his story and share God with everyone he comes across—but Chris is determined to continue. Chris is relentless when it comes to spreading the word about his new book B-More Loyal-30 Years Before Dishonor. He goes into the neighborhoods and promotes, he’s mastered social media to reach people all around the world in great numbers, he shares videos so that you can experience his story in a personal way, he travels and tells everyone he meets about God’s glory in his life. Chris still believes in giving back, and he makes sure he puts back into people’s lives the more successful he becomes. Chris is truly a living example of what it means to overcome life’s struggles, grow from them, and use them to reach and touch the lives of others.
